Modern Calligraphy for Everyone – Basic Strokes to Beautiful Words
Modern Calligraphy for Everyone – Basic Strokes to Beautiful Words is a beginner course for anyone wanting to learn Modern Calligraphy. This course will be running live for 8 weeks from the 2nd of August 2021 to 24 September 2021.
Every Monday you will receive access to a new section of the course and every Thursday there will be a live Zoom call for you to ask me all your questions. The Zoom calls are recorded and added to the course the next day, so you can send through all your questions and I’ll be sure to answer them.
You have lifetime access to the course so you can go back at any time to watch any of the videos.

Each week you will also have a chance to ask me questions during our group Zoom call and if you can’t make it live you can send me your questions and I will be sure to answer them during the call. All the live Q&A sessions will be uploaded in the course so you can refer to them whenever you need.
You will also have access to a secret Facebook group where students can meet and support each other, you can ask me questions and I will post videos and go live to answer more questions.

In this section we will be working through all the basic strokes in Modern Calligraphy and then we will also work through the extra strokes.
The basic strokes in calligraphy is what all your letters and ultimately your words are made up of, so it’s really important to practice these a lot before moving on to creating letters and words.

In this section we start to having fun by connecting all the basic strokes to create all the miniscules/small letters of the alphabet. I also walk you through some alternative ways of creating some of the letters.

In this section we move on to the majuscule/capital letters. I walk you through some new strokes and teach you different ways to create your majuscule letters.

This week we move on to connections. I will first show you different ways to connect your miniscules/small letters. Next we will practice some words. Then I show you how we add majusccules/capital letters into the mix and we practice more words, including our names.

This week is all about practice and creating pieces you love. I will walk you through creating a few different pieces, you can practice exactly what I show you or apply it to your own designs and ask me all the questions you need to help you create something you absolutely love.
