26 Words in Basic Strokes – Word 13 – miracle
Hello and welcome back to 26 Words in Basic Strokes. I’m Riëtte and breaking down one word a day for 26 days into the basic calligraphy strokes. We’re keeping it simple, no flourishes and no bouncing. If you need an overview of the basic strokes I break them down in the introduction video of this series. Today’s word is “miracle”.
We start with an overturn stroke.
Another overturn stroke.
A compound curve.
An underturn stroke.
A connector dot.
Another underturns stroke. This one starts where the connector dot ended and it finishes before you reach the x-height.
An underturn stroke. This one also finishes before you reach the x-height.
An l-stroke, the exit stroke finishing before the x-height.
And an e-stroke.
Now let’s put them together.
And don’t forget to dot your “i”.
And that’s the word “miracle”.
I would love to see your practice. Tag me on Instagram using #26wordsinbasicstrokes. Thank you so much for watching. I’ll see you tomorrow with another word.
